Four characters (Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, and newcomer Jamie) were also revealed in this trailer. There, they'll throw hands with strangers around the block, all of whom are apparently encountered randomly throughout the city. This will be a 3D adventure where players traverse the world of Street Fighter in Metro City (the setting of Final Fight). Seemingly learning from the mistakes of Street Fighter V, which launched with a barebones at best single-player, the new game will feature a stunning World Tour mode. Although it wasn’t available to preview during Summer Game Fest, I think the brand new World Tour mode is going to help draw people like myself into Street Fighter 6. The next trailer for Street Fighter 6 shown off at Sony's June 2022 State of Play gave a much closer look at the game. Already this 2023 fighting game is very nice. The revealed footage is only a teaser, however, so any changes to the gameplay and fighting mechanics are still unknown. Chun-Li is my favorite Street Fighter character which usually doesn’t end well for her and in 6 with the modern control type, she feels faster and more powerful than ever. LOS ANGELESAfter spending two days with strangers in the world’s first playable version street fighter 6I’m convinced this is the entry that will bring me back to the series as a casual fighting game player. Showcasing Ryu and Luke facing each in a much more realistic and detailed artstyle than before, the game seems to be ditching the "paint" aesthetic of the previous two games. Capcoms flagship fighting franchise has lain mostly dormant since 2016s Street Fighter V, but recently Screen Rant got some hands-on time with SF6 at Summer Game Fest, trying out a brief demo with access to a small roster of playable characters, including the newly-bearded Ryu.
